He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Blair, Sr. and Helen Rae Wiebel Stenger; his son-in-law Dr. Francisco "Kit" Japzon; and his brother Melvin B. Stenger, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Lilli H. Passarge Stenger; his daughters, Linda Stenger Moore (Craig) of Hagerstown, MD, Carol Stenger Mellott (J. R.) of Williamsport, MD and Ruthy Stenger Japzon of Hagerstown, MD; his granddaughters, Whitney Mellott Hoch (D. J.), Leah Mellott Davoli (Matt), Sarah Hensley and Lauren Hensley; and his great grandchildren, Lilli Hoch and Emma Hoch. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews.
