He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Willard and Eva Grace Austin (Nickerson); and his siblings, Willard, Don Austin and Esther May Austin.
He is survived by: his wife Rita T. Austin (Moya) of Williamsport, MD; his children, Yvonne Austin of Williamsport, MD, Cindy Crist (Wes) of Hagerstown, MD and David Austin, Jr. (Jodi) of Williamsport, MD; his sister Claire Otero (Wilfred) of Corrales, NM; his grandsons, Kyle Crist (Ashley) of Delray Beach, FL and Daniel Crist of Falling Waters, WV; and his great grandchild Brooks Crist. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
