He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward and Elsie Davenport Newlin Litten; his wife Ruth Sigler of Virginia; his siblings, Lelia Litten, Frances Litten, Dora Lee Eakle, Hazel Long, Ruth Martin, Mary Eikelberger, Claude Litten, Sidney Litten, Rev. John Litten, William Litten, Norman Litten and Benjamin Litten; and his great grandchild Easton Litten.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Litten, David Litten (Theresa) and Curtis Litten (Rhonda); his grandchildren, Jason Litten, Allison Litten, Sierra Litten, Ariana Litten (Kerr) and Aaron (Angelina Litten); his stepgrandson Alan Artz II; his great grandchildren, Addisyn Litten, Madilyn Litten, Jonathon Loski, Lincoln Loski and Avery Loski; and his sister Lila Mae Haywood.
