He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Tauta; his wife Faaoi; his daughters, Taulima Montes (José), Sandy Lisa Tauta Robinson and Faye Maua Tauta; his grandchildren, Lorie Montes, José Montes, Jr., Desiree Montes, Grace Montes, Jaydis Robinson and Zayden Robinson; his great grandchildren, Sage Sullivan, Cruz Sullivan, Zavier Montes and Matoa Montes; and his siblings, Lauvale, Fagaisea, Muagagana and Fa'atasiga.
