It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred McKinney (White Plains, Maryland), who passed away on August 1, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Louis and Helen Heard; her former husband John Lancaster; her husband Bishop James McKinney; her daughter Angela Lancaster; her son-in-law Bruce Bulls, Sr.; and her siblings, Arthur (Mouse), Cora, Lemuel, Albert, Morris (Sonny), Hester and Helen.
She is survived by: her children, Mildred Douglas (Thomas), Etheline Green (Richard), Alton Heard (Joyce), Virginia Avent (Roger), Sylvester Heard, Jackeline Bulls (Bruce), Van Lancaster and Alexander Lancaster; her sister Dorrie Wiggins; her sisters-in-law, Iretha Heard (Reese) and Annie Heard; and her godchildren, Paul A. Hagens, Sr., Garnell Heard and Tamika Heard. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In compliance with the Charles County Order, all residents and visitors over the age of five (5) will be required to wear masks in all indoor public venues and businesses in Charles County, even if they are fully vaccinated. SERVICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE PER COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS.
