He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Wilbur McConnell and Elizabeth Long Lynch; and his sister Willamenia Carson. He is survived by: his former wife Carol McConnell; his sister Juanita Knight of Lunenburg, Virginia; and his children, Susan Hills of Baltimore, John McConnell, Jr. (Joyce) of La Plata, Rebecca Foley of Baltimore, Jacqueline Persinger of Macon, Georgia, Karen Lopez-Major (David) of Hartwood, Kimberly Curtin (Brad) of King George and Cyndi Barron (Chad) of Newburg, Maryland. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Face masks are required for all services and social distancing is to be observed with limited attendance.
