He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Downey and Myrtle Downey (Lantz); his wife Edna Downey (Clayton); his brother Martin Downey (Jean); and his daughter-in-law Marylu Downey.
He is survived by: his brother Warren Downey (Linda); and his children, Hugh Downey, Gary Downey, Karen Staat (Eric) and Tom Downey (Carolyn). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
