He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schaeffer and Dorothy Schaeffer (Nonemaker). He is survived by: his wife Dorcas E. Schaeffer (Ensor); and his children, Garry Lee Schaeffer, Jr. (Pam), David Wayne Schaeffer (Donna) and Darlene Kay Schaeffer (John). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
