He is survived by: his mother Carole Mithen (Baum); his stepparents, Stan Mithen and Karen Easterling; his siblings, Jeff Haines, Deanna Mithen (Dirk), Christopher Owens (Blairlee), Kathryn Owens, John Owens (Alejandra) and Rebecca Owens; his aunt Mary Owens; his cousins, Ruth, Susan, Lori and Jennifer; and his nieces and nephews, Kathryn, Grace, Paul, Sean and Jacob.
