He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Glenn Hiatt and Mabel Roberta Layton Hiatt of Greensboro, NC.; and his wife Madeline Elizabeth Myers Hiatt. He is survived by: his daughter Mary Elizabeth Hiatt; his son-in-law Jeff Jason Leonard of Oriental, NC; and his granddaughters, Sarah Beth Leonard Taylor (Ryan) of Burke, VA and Cassie Rae Leonard (David) of Fairfax, VA. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
