It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William E. Schaeffer of Westminster, Maryland, who passed away on August 28, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Marie A. Schaeffer; his parents, Russell W. Schaeffer and Mary P. Schaeffer; and his sister Katherine Dubbs. He is survived by: his children, William Schaeffer (Elizabeth Schaeffer), Melanie Janocha and Dawn Busch (Charles Busch); his siblings, Russell Schaeffer, Doris Hoffman (Richard) and Jane Rosensteel (Dan); and his grandchildren, Regan Chalk (Robert Hammond), Hailey Janocha, Molly Janocha, Brennan Schaeffer, Mason Busch, Brooks Schaeffer, Madison Busch and Allison Schaeffer.
