Terry Robert Becker Obituary
Terry Robert Becker, 77, of Westminster, MD, died suddenly on Thursday, August 17 at his home. He was born in Baltimore to the late John Becker and Myrtle (Eybs) Becker on October 22, 1945.
Terry was a graduate of Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School where he played on the football and baseball teams. He had a lifelong career in automotive repair and maintenance industry, having worked for several Baltimore-area General Motors dealerships. He was a mechanic and driver for the Anderson Oldsmobile Drag Racing Team. He was a hunting and gun enthusiast and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds. He was one of few surviving members of the Brehm's Boys Club baseball team.
Terry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Darlene (Kistner); his children: daughter, Lisa (Scott) Albin of Hanover, PA; son, T. Alan Becker of Hampstead, MD; son, Eric Becker of Westminster, MD; grandsons, Brandon Albin of Westminster, MD and Brady Albin of Hanover, PA; sister, June Kinnear of Baltimore; brother, John Becker of Centennial, CO; sister, Diana Ryan of Lewes, DE; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
A private viewing was held on Friday, August 18 for immediate family prior to cremation. A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 25, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 21 Carroll Street, Westminster, MD.
