He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Young Sr. and Marian Dotterer Young; and his siblings, Dorothy Henderson, Erma Gebb, Ruby Bechtold, Margaret Whitacre, Betty Wise, Dr. John D. Young Jr. and Ralph M. Young.
He is survived by: his spouse Gail Thibault Young; his sister Thelma Flippin of Atlanta, GA; and his sisters-in-law, Sandra Guay and Susanne Auth of Beltsville, MD. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews and extended relatives in his immediate family.
