He was predeceased by: his mother Marcella Magruder; his wife Mary Louise Magruder; and his sisters, Margarite and Ruth. He is survived by: his son Nicholas Magruder (Sherry Sanders-Magruder) of Hanover, PA; his granddaughters, Ashley Sanders and Courtney Sanders; his great grandchildren, Sophia Meile and Marissa Hall; and his sister Dale Bowie (Michael).
