We are sad to announce that on December 21, 2024, at the age of 98, Samuel Flater (Westminster, Maryland) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Samuel Flater to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his mother Gertrude Violet Flater; and his grandfather Marshall Flater. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Gwynne, Denise Rickell, Donna Lippy, Rodney Flater (Cathy) and Dawn Layton; and his grandchildren, Matthew Davis, Brent Davis, Jessica Davis, Mark Lippy, Megan Shaffer, Morgan Becker, Patrick Rickell and Samantha Layton. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services (254 E Main St, Westminster, MD 21157). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Sandymount Methodist Cemetery fund, 1840 Tank Road, Finksburg, MD 21048.
