We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2021, at the age of 90, Ruby Rainey of Westminster, Maryland, born in Harrisonburg, Virginia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruby Rainey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emerson Mason Nelson and Mary Showalter Nelson; her husband Edward D. Rainey; and her siblings, Nancy Nelson Gorman, Dora Nelson Weaver, Emerson Nelson, Jr., J. Leroy Nelson, Mary Nelson See, John Nelson and Nell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen R. Whiting of Fisherville, VA, Cindy R. Hirt (Clyde) of Westminster and Pamela R. Rainey (Larry Schultz) of New Mexico; her grandchildren, Melinda Vollmer, Matthew Hirt (Claire), Scott Yancey and Katie Campbell (Tim); and her stepgrandchildren, Larisa Morris and Loren Schultz. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.
