He was predeceased by: his parents, James Archie Martin and Vicie Jane Martin (Hanson); his wife Janet Louise Martin (Neudecker); his brothers, James Martin and Harold Martin; and his siblings-in-law, Myrtle Martin and Raymond Hoff.
He is survived by: his children, Robert S. Martin (Christina) and Amy Fuhrman (Tim Fick); his siblings, Virginia Hoff, Helen Loar (John) and Harlan Martin (Patricia); his sister-in-law Linda Martin; his grandchildren, Alex and Gina Martin; and his close friend William "Billy" Maynard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
