He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Brightful and Helena Lucinda Brightful (Baker); his wife Marjorie Ann Brightful (Cook); and his granddaughter Carisa Mannone. He is survived by: his children, Vernon J. Cook (Cynthia), Sonjia M. Duvall (Michael), Robert E. Brightful, Jr. (Tammy), Jacqueline D. Bennett (Arnel) and April J. Brightful of Westminster; his brother Stanley Brightful of Westminster; and his grandchildren, Danica Giles, Allen Cook, Tiara Brightful-Resto, Ian Giles, David Cunningham, Jr., Jania Giles, Keith Brightful, Kile Brightful, Adrianna Cook and Gabriella Cook. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
