He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert and Leona Columbia Coppersmith (Hensley); and his brother Russell Hensley. He is survived by: his spouse Dotty Erma Zile Coppersmith; his children, Mark A. Coppersmith (Gail) of Westminster, Terri L. Sies (Neil) of Lititz, PA. and Craig S. Coppersmith (Cathy) of Westminster; his grandchildren, Katie, Jennifer, Sarah, Matthew, Ashley and Brittany; his great grandchildren, Isabel, Amelia, Jane, Keegan, Cameron, Carter, Adley, Brooks, Callie, Conner, Skyler and Kylie; and his sisters, Shirley Boczek (Lothar) of Hanover, PA. and Virginia Gesell of Manchester.
