He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis J. Putman and Evelyn I. Hooper Putman. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Shipley Putman; his sons, Richard Grant Putman (Lindsay) of Salisbury and David Gregory Putman of Salisbury; his grandchildren, David Avery Putman and Mia Jean Putman; and his brother James F. Putman (Loretta) of Burtonsville.
