He is survived by: his children, Paul (Janie) of Eldersburg, Karl (Leyla) of Clarksburg, Kurt (Brenda) of Frederick and Joyce Friel of Charles Town, WV. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Resident's Assistance Fund of Carroll Lutheran Village.
