He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Murkey, Sr. and Lillian Meseke Murkey; and his wife Catherine "Betty" Elizabeth Murkey. He is survived by: his children, Karen Jennings, David Murkey and Ellen Bowersox; his grandchildren, Rachel, Kelly, Meghan, Timothy, Eric and Adam; his great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Ava, Ruth, Everett and Grayson; and his sister Linda Steelberg.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P. A Tuesday (3296 Charmil Dr, Manchester, MD 21102).
