He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Stewart and Maude Stewart (Boothe); his wife Patricia Stewart (Ballengee); his daughters, Evelyn Boone and Katherine Caltrider; and his sister Evelyn Stewart.

He is survived by: his daughters, Drema Wentz (Harry) of Manchester, MD, Anita Franklin (Ricky) of Taneytown and Teresa Davis (Michael) of Westminster; and his siblings, Clyde Stewart, Jr. of Fayetteville, PA and Dorma Shaffer of Cameron, TX. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
