He is survived by: his parent Margaret Hampt Jr (Sprinkle); his spouse Shirley Mae Hampt (Anderson); his son Shawn Michael Hampt (Amy) of Manchester; his siblings, Sue Sorlucco of West Virginia, Marion McElroy (Martin) of West Virginia and William Augusta Hampt III; his wife Nancy Hampt of Hampstead; his grandchildren, Sophie Grace Hampt and Emmett Lee Hampt; and also Robert Hampt of West Virginia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joe's name to either the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital (Dr. Mark Levis and his team) or Church of the Open Door, The Next Step Ministry.
