It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Trageser of Westminster, Maryland, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 21, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Trageser and Melvina Trageser (Parr); and his brothers, Gerard and Jerome Trageser. He is survived by: his wife Florence Gertrude Trageser (Rutkowski); his children, Michael "Mickey" Trageser (Susan) of Eldersburg, Stephen Trageser (Jerriann) of Marriottsville and Mary Jean Short (Peter) of Pittsford, NY; his siblings, Melvina Gayo of Baltimore, Mary Barbara Brown (Hershel) of Baltimore and James Trageser (Judy) of SanDiego, CA; his grandchildren, Jessica Colligan (Daniel), Sarah Smigovsky (Jason), Joseph Trageser, Ethan Trageser (Kerry), Amy Trageser, Connor, Abby and Tori Short; and his great grandchildren, Dillon, Lucas and Vincent. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church will be private for family members only.
