He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Irvin Bien, Sr. and Ruby H. Walstrum Bien; his spouse Jean Ferguson Bien; and his brother Frederick G. Bien. He is survived by: his sons, William R. Bien (Sally) of Sterling, VA and James I. Bien (Nancy) of Waynesboro, PA; his granddaughters, Kimberly Santamaria (Danis) and Carolyn Bien; and his great grandchildren, Daniela Santamaria and Andres Santamaria.
