He was predeceased by: his parents, Thornton William Rodgers and Carrie Frances Gelwicks Rodgers; his siblings, Rainey, Bee, Bill and Joe; his children, Michele Mirfin and Curtis Rodgers; and his grandson Derik Sipes.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Rodgers (Topper); his sons, Michael A. Rodgers (Barbara) of Westminster and Dennis T. Rodgers (Jeannie) of Georgetown, DE.; his son-in-law Charles "Chuck" Mirfin of Hanover, PA; and his grandchildren, Christy, Brett, Elizabeth, Patrick, Caroline, Meredith, Kevin, Brad, Leslie and Ryan. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
