It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ida Frances Bixler of Westminster, Maryland, born in Finksburg, Maryland, who passed away on April 7, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Lee Bixler Sr.; her parents, Howell Kelly Stocksdale and Sadie Abbott Stocksdale; her sons, Robert Lee Bixler, Jr. and Larry Ray Bixler; and her siblings, Levene Stocksdale, William Stocksdale (Jack), Ray Stocksdale, Lola Fridinger, Betty Stocksdale, Sadie Talbert and Dinah Freeman.
She is survived by: her daughter Fay Bixler Downing; her grandchildren, Brian Bixler (Diane) of Hanover, PA, Kelly Downing Haywood (Ed) of Valrico, FL, James Robert Downing (Kelly) of Hillsborough, NC, Kimberly Ann Davis (Jeff) of Westminster, MD and Nathan Ray Bixler of Gettysburg, PA; her great grandchild Laura Downing; her grandchildren, Sam Downing, Emma Downing, Rob Haywood, Carson Haywood, Matthew Bixler, Lee Ann Bixler, Gwyneth Davis, Gunnar Davis and Lane Bixler; her siblings, Mary Grove, Margie Fay Baust, Linda Dutterer and James Stocksdale; and her daughter-in-law Dixie Backhaus. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
