He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Luther Schmidt, Sr. and Esther Mae Schmidt (Keller); and his wife Carol Marie Schmidt. He is survived by: his sons, Jesse K. Schmidt of Sykesville, MD and David L. Schmidt of Mount Airy, MD; and his sister Doris Ann McGee of Westminster, MD. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
