He was predeceased by: his parents, George Baer and Mary Baer; his son Gary Lyle; and his siblings, Leo, Allan, Otis, Hilda and Mary Ada.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Loretta Frampton; his son James Lawrence; his daughter-in-law Susan; and his grandchildren, Scott (Kathleen), Michelle Badalato (James), Stephanie Malcolm (Matthew), Jennifer Castro (Javier), David Gooding (Mary), Melissa Popham (Douglas) and William Meadows. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
