He was predeceased by: his parents, George William and Elizabeth Slade (Middleton); and his sister Joan S. Minor. He is survived by: his wife Betty DePalmer Slade; his sons, George William Slade (Fulvia), Jonathan Slade (Novia), Robert Slade (Marisa) and James Slade (Maricruz); and his stepchildren, Susan Fowble, Lynne Sneeringer (John) and Steven DePalmer (Sheila).
