He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Placko, Sr. and Julia Ann Placko (Chovan); and his nephew Clint Cutsail. He is survived by: his friend Bill McClellend; his siblings, John S. Placko, Jr. (Judy), Dave Placko (Sherri) and Michelle Cutsail (Mark); and his daughter Amanda. He is also survived by numerous uncles, cousins, nephews, great nieces, nephews.
