Ellen Yakopec Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Yakopec of Westminster, Maryland, born in Sagamore, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 15, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Kovalchick and Susan Kovalchick (Slencak); her husband Louis "Sonny" Yakopec; her brothers, Andrew Kovalchick and William Kovalchick; and her son Charlie.
She is survived by: her children, Ellen Young (William) of Plum Boro, PA, Judith Collins (Barclay) of Annapolis, MD, Louis "Skip" Yakopec (Rhonda) of Raleigh, NC and Lauree Kunz (Michael) of Hampstead, MD.; her grandchildren, Adam Siemianowski, Scott Siemianowski (Katie Sorenson), Natalie Yakopec, Ashley Yakopec, Brittany Collins, Bayleigh Collins, Eric Kunz and Amy Heisey (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Michael Siemianowski, Carly Siemianowski, Amelia Siemianowski and Connor Heisey; and her sister Marie Puzniak (Thomas) of Sarasota, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Ellen requested that contributions be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
