He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Sedlar and Mary Knap Sedlar; his wife Joan Ann Sedlar; and his children, Judith Lubnow and Stephen Sedlar.
He is survived by: his children, James Sedlar (Christine) of Richmond, VA, Cynthia Ringley (Jamie) of Manchester, MD and Edward J. Sedlar, Jr. (Crissy) of Westminster, MD; his son-in-law Tom Lubnow of Falls Church, VA; his grandchildren, Corey (Emily), Caitlyn (Ryan), Jillian, Grace, Brian (Jessica), Stephen, Emily, Sarah, Anna, Erin, Kyle, Paige and Chloe; and his great grandchild John.
