He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Atlas and Mary Lynette Ditzel (Tarleton); and his wife Catherine Margaret Ditzel. He is survived by: his children, Edward, Jr. (Gayle Ditzel), Donna (John Landis), Bernadette (Stephen Coccagna) and Mary (Mark Darrell); and his grandchildren, Matthew, Michaelene, Meghan, Stephanie, Sarah, Christopher, Natalie, Dominic, Krista and Emily. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel (412 Washington Rd, Westminster, MD 21157). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Basilica (30 Basilica Dr, Hanover, PA 17331).
Memorial donations may be made in Edward's name to St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 110 State St., Harrisburg PA 17101.
