He was predeceased by: his parents, David Shaffer (Shaffer, Sr.) and Helen M. Shaffer; his sister-in-law Shirley Shaffer; his niece Cathy Shaffer; and his brothers-in-law, Millard Kibler and Bob Phillips.
He is survived by: his son Adam Shaffer of Crisfield, MD; his siblings, David Shaffer, Jr. (Ann) of Manchester, Charlotte Kibler of Westminster and Wanda Phillips of Stephenville, TX; and his close friends, Allen and Gerri Rhodes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
