She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Yingling and Margaret Naomi Yingling; her son Robert Lloyd "Buster" Brown; her grandsons, John Jones and Bradley Miller; and her sisters, Betty Lee Ahalt and Lisa Wanda Newcomer.
She is survived by: her husband Charles N. Owings; her daughters, Donna Brown of Westminster and Peggy Yox of Baltimore; her grandchildren, Brandy Dyer of North Carolina, Cotie Byrns of Hagerstown and Ronnie Grill of Towson; her great grandchild Cotie Byrns, Jr.; her siblings, Linda Marie Day (Roy) and Robert Allen Yingling of Westminster; her niece Audrey Lynn Day; and her close friends, Darlene Sartain of Sykesville and Edna Kline Stambaugh of Littlestown, PA.. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
In the interest of safety and to prevent further spread of the COVID-19 virus, Dorothy's funeral service will be in a virtual format only. As required for COVID cases, her casket must remain closed.
