He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Bowersox and Naomi Bowersox (Kreitzer). He is survived by: his wife Angela Gist Bowersox; his daughters, Wendy Bowersox of Pleasant Valley and Susan Bowersox-Blizzard of Pleasant Valley; his grandchildren, Taylor, Kaitlyn and Jordan Blizzard; his great grandchild Jackson Clyde; his brother Allen Bowersox of Littlestown; his siblings-in-law, Michael Gist (Susan), Jeanie Myers (Kenneth) of Pleasant Valley, Linda Royer of Pleasant Valley and Penny Gist of Pleasant Valley; his godsons, James Swartzbaugh IV, Brandon Baublitz, Eugene Korn and Over; and also, Guy Garheart, Jon Bonsall, Charles Lee, Mike Chrest and Vickie Green. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Marys Lutheran Church, 3978 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD 21158.
