He was predeceased by: his parents, David N. Clingan and Elizabeth Stem Clingan; his wife Nancy L. Clingan; his siblings, Dorothy Shipley, Rosalie Peeling and James Clingan; his stepdaughter Kathy; and his stepgranddaughter Debbie Foertsch.
He is survived by: his sister Jean Zepp; his stepdaughter Linda Evans (Jeff) of Manchester; his stepson-in-law John; and his stepgrandchildren, Chris Cousins, Robin Hoke, Michael, Tad and Troy Foertsch. He is also survived by 15 step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David's name to the St. John Roman Catholic Church at the address listed above.
