He was predeceased by: his parents, John George and Myrtle Schwing (Murphy); his wife Gloria Frances Schwing (Porter); and his brothers, John and Jerome Schwing.
He is survived by: his son Charles G. Schwing, Jr. (Janice) of Westminster; his grandchildren, Rose Praydis, Charles G. Schwing, III, Christopher A. Schwing, Thomas and Patrick Mueller; his great grandchildren, Dominic, Tristan, Kaylee, Harper and Aubrey Mueller; and his sister Carol Lynn Heard.
