He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherwood Jack Wharton and Margaret Mary Wharton (O'Rourke); and his brother Michael Wharton. He is survived by: his son Benjamin H. Wharton of Frederick; his siblings, Margaret Love (Kenneth) of Harrisburg, PA, Maureen Olson (Roger) of Sykesville, Kathleen Lantz (Randy) of McVeytown, PA and Kevin Wharton of Lewistown, PA; and his sister-in-law Kimberly Wharton of Snellville, GA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bartley's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital (stjude.org).
