She was predeceased by: her parents, Balai and Sibani Das of Howrah; and her husband Dr. Ras Bihari Guchhait. She is survived by: her children, Swapna (Asis), Swarup (Janet), Swadesh (Swarnali) and Anita (Neal); and her grandchildren, Riju, Raja (Adelina), Amadeus, Ashley, Jessica, Samantha, Madison and Abigail. She is also survived by three great grandchildren, two younger sisters and their families, nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law.
