She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Kauten and Elizabeth Mooss Kauten; her husband Hans J. Bode; her son Hans Nicholas Bode; and her brothers, John Nik Kauten, Joseph F. Kauten, Nicholas Frank Kauten and Alexander Jacob Kauten. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, 14 great-nieces and nephews, and 27 great-great nieces and nephews.
