He was predeceased by: his father Elwood M. Dowery Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Mary Catherine Thomas Dowery of Union Bridge; his wife Darlene Schildt Dowery; his children, Stacie M. Dowery, Aaron M. of Walkersville and Darren M. Dowery of Walkersville; and his siblings, Carter Thomas of Columbia, SC, Debbie Owens (Thomas) of Westminster, Janet Dowery of Mt. Airy and Jeffrey Dowery (Teresa) of Union Bridge. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
