He was predeceased by: his grandmother Mary Regina Schillinger; and his significant other Christina Hong. He is survived by: his grandparents, Patricia, Deane Cowperthwaite and Louis Schillinger; his parents, Suzanne Cowperthwaite and Michael R. Stecker; his stepmother Donna Stecker; his siblings, Patrick Stecker (Joanna), Benjamin Stecker (Caitlyn) and Emily LaCroix (Walter); and his nieces, Brooke and Riley.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Eline Funeral Home - Finksburg (2901 Bloom Rd, Finksburg, MD 21048). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
