We are sad to announce that on April 4, 2023, at the age of 99, Viola G. Hunter of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, born in Newark, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Edward Tindley and Sallie M. Porter Tindley; her husband Robert M. Hunter; her children, Frederick Hunter, Roberta Purnell and Violet Henry; her stepson Clarence Bryant; her siblings, Harrison, Arthur, Jr., John, Nathaniel, James, Isaac, Clara, Mildred, Shirley, Nellie, Charles, Lula, Annie, Elsie and Myrtle; and her granddaughter Lutricia Hunter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sally E. Smith (Jerry) and Sandra L. Thomas (Myron); her sister Yvonne Adams; and her children-in-law, Audrey Hunter, Norman Purnell and Larry Henry. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
