She was predeceased by: her parents, Oakley Smith, Sr. and Helen Turner. She is survived by: her daughter Helene A. Wilson-Johnson; her aunt Christine Johnson; her grandson Melvin Johnson, Jr.; her great grandchild Maya Yull-Johnson; her siblings, Darin Smith, Marcia Smith and Jackie Smith; and her siblings-in-law, James Johnson, Margaret Coates, Irving Wilson, Jr. and Ruby Wilson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at J.B. Jenkins Funeral Home on Saturday February 17, 2024: Wake: 3:30-4:30 PM, Service: 4:30-5:30 PM, The family request no flowers be sent to the Funeral home.
