She is survived by: her husband Melvin A. Brooks, Sr.; her children, Michelle and Melvin Jr.; her grandson Brandon W. Brooks; her goddaughter Velvet Blue; and her siblings, Amelia Richardson, Sara Minerva Butler, Paul, Danny Boy and Vincent. She is also survived by sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of friends.
