She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Albert and Mary Jennie Phillips Graves; her husband John Wilbur Edwards; her sons, John Lawrence "Kim" and Michael Edwards; and her brothers, James Graves and Garnett Graves.
She is survived by: her sibling Van; her daughters, Donna, Janice, Bonnie and Rhonda Edwards of Maryland; her grandchildren, Jared Coleman (Kali) and Ivory Quarles of Washington, DC; her siblings, Ersell Jeffers of Columbus, OH, Margaret Williams of Washington, DC and Frank Graves (Louise) of Burlington, NC; and her siblings-in-law, Johnnie Graves of Sedalia, MO, Everal Edwards Whiting of Philadelphia, PA and Royal Edwards of Philadelphia, PA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Greater Mt. Nebo AME Church (1001 Old Mitchellville Rd, Bowie, MD 20716). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery (11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623).
