It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margie Ruth Hicks of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on December 2, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Logan Tarter and Margie Ruth Tarter of Dallas, Texas.; and her husband Jack Dabney Hicks Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Jack Dabney Hicks, Jr. of Upper Marlboro, Annette Hicks Higginbotham of Fernandina Beach and Margie Ruth Kerman of Gettysburg; and her grandchildren, Laura Stedman, Andrew Bryan, Jason Higginbotham, Jerry Higginbotham and Benjamin Kerman. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
